surprise bday gift

Yesterday was Brian's birthday. If you don't know Brian, you might not know that he is horrible to buy gifts for. I have learned to buy exactly what is on his list or he will promptly return it. I went out to get the final items for his birthday yesterday afternoon. The "perfect push-up" and the new Dan Brown book would finish off my list.

So I zoomed in and out of Dick's and Barnes and Noble and was feeling quite accomplished.

Fast forward to the gift opening session. The first unwrapped was his new book... and he looked a little surprised, which caught me off guard, because he always knows what he is getting because I stick to the list.

Turns out I picked out the new "Graham Brown" book. It's the thought that counts right? Katie-0 "Mommy-brain"-1

Happy Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BRIAN!

Brian turns 29 today. We celebrated a bit last night with my side of the family, tonight we'll do whatever Will allows... perphaps dinner and dessert.

Last night around 3 AM Brian rolled over and said in his sleep "twenties". I think subconciously that the last year in his twenties is hitting him hard.

The above pic and below pics are from last year at Brian's Birthday Bash. Holla. DJ Sam Bigby spun our favorite 90s rap hits, and we tore it up on the dance floor at our house. Brian's dream... a dance party.

Brian, you are an awesome husband and a great father. Thanks for being my best friend. I hope your next year is the best yet!

whoops

I am slightly embarrassed by the first post, I bet everybody's first post starts with "I never thought I would start one of these". I promise I will be more original in the future.

this URL was still available...

Well. I was never going to start a blog, but looks like I just did. In creating a URL, "whydidistartablog.blogspot.com" was still available, but I chose not to use it because I might really get into blogging, then that would sound negative. So, "bridgesofgreenvillecounty.blogspot.com" it is.

Welcome. For those of you not familiar with the clever take off of the title... google (or bing for you commies) "Bridges of Madison County". It is a 1995 drama. For the grammar critic, I understand that the plural of Bridges is Bridgeses, but it does not have the same ring.

I will continue to post at random. This is what all moms do, right? For those of you that will frequent the site, thank you, and pick a new hobby, because I know this is not that interesting.
